Learn More About Our Admissions Process

At Sabal Palms Recovery Center, our dedicated intake coordinators are available 24/7 to help you explore your treatment options. We are here to make sure that you have a confident and swift start to your recovery journey. Our goal is to provide you with continuous support and connect you with services that can improve your quality of life. If you have any reservations about beginning treatment, our team is here to address any concerns that might hinder you from accessing the transformative care you deserve.

Before You Arrive

Thank you for considering Sabal Palms Recovery Center for your recovery needs. We encourage you to prepare for treatment with us by doing the following:

  • Review our “What To Bring” and “What Not To Bring” lists below.
  • Make a list of emergency/family phone numbers to bring with you to our facility.
  • Make any necessary phone calls prior to admission.
  • If you need to have a “Presence in Treatment” letter sent to anyone, such as a judge, lawyer, employer, therapist, or doctor, please bring their contact information with you.

We are able to transport clients off campus for personal shopping, haircuts, and other appointments. However, clients need to bring their own cash, debit cards, credit cards, or gift cards for this. These items will be stored securely in our safe until needed. If a client requires additional funds for shopping or outings, it must be mailed in or dropped off at the reception desk.

Our Admissions Process

During the admissions process at Sabal Palms Recovery Center, we focus on helping individuals find the treatment they need as quickly as possible. The time it takes to complete this process can vary for each client depending on their unique circumstances. To streamline your admission, it is important that you provide our intake specialists with accurate information so that we can recommend the most appropriate care for you.

After you complete an initial phone screening with one of our intake coordinators, they will collaborate with the treatment team to determine if our services match your needs. If you qualify for admission, we will request authorization for any necessary medical records before scheduling your admission date. We will also coordinate with your insurance provider to confirm benefits and provide them with the necessary information for processing your claims.

When you arrive at our recovery center to begin treatment, we will provide you with paperwork to complete, which may include forms for demographic information, HIPAA authorization, and consent for treatment. We will then conduct a noninvasive body search and place your cellphone, electronics, cash, ID, debit cards, credit cards, and other valuables in our safe.

You will then meet with a member of our nursing staff to complete a comprehensive assessment. The results of this assessment can give us insight into your current symptoms, your medical history, and how we can best meet your needs. We will ask you several questions, which may include:

  • What symptoms are you struggling with?
  • What substances are you currently using or have you used in the past?
  • How frequently do you use these substances?
  • Do you take any prescription medications?
  • Have you ever received treatment for a substance use disorder or mental health concern?
  • Do you have any diagnosed mental health conditions?
  • What is your living situation like?
  • Do you have a support system?
  • What do you hope to accomplish through treatment?

After the assessment, a member of our staff will give you a tour of our treatment center and explain our care policies and procedures. This is a great opportunity to ask any questions and learn more about what to expect during your stay.
